A Safer Bet In This Economy - Buying Gas Stations, Convenience Stores

Today's economy turned into being a challenging one and put many people in survival mode.

As the hurricane of bad economy blasted most of the businesses yet there are still some field and industries that are more recession proof than others. One of these particular Industries is gas and food; which in general these products are needed in our daily basis. No matter how bad is the economy or regardless of the status of Employments, People yet need to eat, drink and purchase gas for their transportations from “A” to point “B”. Combination of a gas station with food mart is one of the best ways to gather these types of services and supply a large number of the daily consumers' need under one single operation.

Gas stations are one of the most popular businesses that people generally inquire about.  They are (relatively) easy to operate and can be a good investment for the right owner.  The demand for gas stations will remain high - even if the price of oil continues to fluctuate.  If there is a major shift to "green" energy in the future people will still require local and accessible centers to fuel their vehicles and yet for political and economical reasons, there would be many years left to that date that the entire vehicles industry would turn to be completely converted into green.

As a gas station & convenient store operator consultant and a long term operating management company  , we always believe that the Facilities that are providing multi products and services are generally more successful and benefiting by far more than the locations that are limited to gas only and smaller kiosk. Referring to Multi Products such as an operation that provide: Gasoline , Assorted Food Products, General Merchandises that goes on the shelves, assorted drinks and any possibly adding other profit centers that we always prefer to add such as : Lottery products , ATM, money transfer services , Check cashing services, propane and possibly providing a branded cell phone retail stand as well as offering major branded fast food (if the space is sufficient.)

Creating or finding a gas station facility that has all the above mentioned products might not be feasible all the time but these products and profit centers by themselves, each can generate a significant amount of profit and yet could be leading to very successful operation if combined together and operated properly.
