The principal behind Gold County Advisors is Jeffrey Potts, a merger & acquisition specialist with more than a dozen years of experience brokering the sale of businesses. Mr. Potts grew up Sacramento. He was a business journalist for such publications as USA TODAY, and later worked for an M&A firm in Santa Fe, New Mexico specializing in the sale of newspaper publishing businesses before returning to California. He is also the owner of JP Media Partners, a firm specializing in newspaper publishing sector.

In addition to his 12 years of experience selling middle market companies – those typically valued between $1 million and $40 million – Mr. Potts’ educational credentials include a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Strategic Marketing from Claremont Graduate University, and is a Certified Business Intermediary (CBI) from the International Business Brokers Association.
