This is long established dog training business with 3 primary income streams. The first income stream is private training which consists of meeting clients at their home or in public places to help them train their dog. The second income stream is boarding training which consists of taking the dog into your own home for 1 to 4 weeks and training the dog there and then returning the dog to the clients home and then working with them for the next 1 to 4 weeks at there home or in public places for follow-up lessons. The third income stream is boarding dogs for past clients when they travel and need a place to leave there dog while they are gone. Each income stream is about 1/3 of the business.
The person that buys this business needs to have a fenced and secure property located in the San Fernando Valley or surrounding area to keep existing clientele.
If you have experience training dogs and want to turn that into a business or expand an existing dog training business, or simply have a love for dogs and are interested in turning that passion into a business/career this is a great business that has treated me very well for the past 33 years. I am moving to Costa Rica early next year which is why I am selling the business.
I will train the buyer on all aspects of running and conducting the business. The main focus is working with new puppy & dog owners as well as dogs with some behavioral problems. I have made some great friends over the years from this business.
Past and present clients include some celebrities like Ray Romano and Paula Abdul among others. The company has trained over 7,000 dogs and has a strong referral base as well as existing advertisements in about a dozen yellow pages that produce steady business and a strong local internet presence.
The tax advantages of this business are astronomical when compared to any other home based business. There is a possibility to take over the business location in a short sale, although not a requirement of the sale of the business, positioning the new owner very nicely with a 1.2 acre property fenced and ready to take over.
