Description Of This SF Bay Area Niche Travel Service Business For Sale:
If you would love to make money while traveling around the world (for cheap) and work with excited and fun bridal couples, this would be a perfect fit! I'm an at-home Mom that was searching for an interesting and exciting home based business that I could work part time. In 2006, my husband and I found the this franchise opportunity in Entrepreneur magazine where it was listed as one of the fastest growing franchises in the nation. Today this Franchisor is a network of over 100 travel service franchises in the U.S. and Canada whereby its niche is Honeymoons and Destination Weddings.
I purchased a full-time territory in Dec. 2006. I live in Sacramento, but bought this territory in San Francisco and Marin County because Sacramento territories were sold out. Although I am 2 hrs. away from the bay area territory and only have worked it part time, I was still able to sell over a quarter million dollars in Honeymoon travel since purchasing this franchise!! Imagine the possibilities for someone who lives right there in the territory!! It's an area that's untapped and holds great sales potential for someone local to build this business. The franchisor will also allow a storefront option as well. Initially most clients are obtained by exhibiting and advertising at bridal shows in San Francisco and Marin County. Eventually much of the business becomes repeat clients (anniversary travel, family travel) and referrals.
My current franchise agreement with the franchisor is set up as an 80/20 Commission split. This is not available anymore from the corporate office (all new franchisees are offered only a 60/40 split). The 80/20 split in my agreement would be "grandfathered" into the new owner's agreement. In addition, training at the Denver, CO corporate office is also included in this sales price, along with personal training from myself. This territory is considered a "full-time" territory (250,000+ population). However, I am also willing to split this territory into 2 part-time territories.
