The agency is currently in an office space in Pasadena with a base rent of $1,100.00 per month and a lease agreement that has a remaining 2 1/2 years on it with the seller willing to work with the buyer in either creating a new lease for the buyer or terminating the current lease to facilitate the sale.
The motivation for the sale is that the seller has another business (non-medical) that they are running along with the fact that the seller is looking at retiring from the home health industry.
Currently, the agency census is approximately at 40 patients that are a combination of Medicare, Medicare Advantage and Workers Compensation insured patients. The agency has a healthy and ongoing relationship with a large hospital in the LA area and yes, this contractual agreement will be part of the sale.
The agency field staff is composed of 7 per diem Registered Nurses (RNs) with the seller stating that he does not work with Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) as a personal preference. The agency also has one key employee that has been with the seller since the inception of the agency.
The agency is currently using VisiTrack to manage their patient staffing, billing and so forth.
