We are a Lighting and Electrical Service Business and a lighting Distributor. We have been in business for 31 years. We do Lighting Retrofits to LEDs for commercial and industrial businesses. We do lighting and electrical upgrades including panel change outs for residential customers. We also sell fixtures to contractors and to end users. Primarily we are a marketing company. We use our web page to find new customers and we use email and the phone to stay in touch with our existing customers. We have built a good reputation with our customers and do a lot of repeat business,
We have hundreds of customers who we do business with some on a monthly basis and some several times a year. .
Our secret sauce is that we keep a low overhead. Although i am an electrical contractor I have found it is easier to use other contractors to do my installations and service calls while i spend my time selling, responding to incoming calls and marketing the business. I am currently working only 4 to 5 hour a day and earn an average $10,000 a month. I just need a phone and a computer to do my work.
One of the advantages we have over other companies that do what we do, is that we are a lighting distributor. We sell light bulbs, ballasts and fixtures to other contractors and to end users. When operating and doing retrofits we have an advantage in that we buy at lower prices than other contractors and thus are able to earn larger margins.
As I am 65 and looking to retire i see many opportunities to expand this business. By adding other sales people the sales could grow. If you are an electrical contractor you could reduce your labor costs by hiring electricians instead of using the electrical contractors. Being 65 i am ready to retire and do not have the energy to
If you are ambitious, understand business and are looking for an a low overhead business that can easily be expanded, this may be an opportunity for you.
I am 65 years old and would like to quit working. This is a great opportunity for some one with sales experience and some knowledge of the electrical industry.
