Description About This Posting: Ice Cream Franchise And Cafe
This is a 1,250 sq ft absentee-run (truly absentee-run) ice cream franchise/cafe with no royalty to be paid to the franchisor. You only buy the ice cream from them. There are 3 such stores in the bay area, and this one was established 20 years ago. It's a very cute, bright, colorful, family-friendly store located on the main street of a community in solano county that has a total of 2 ice cream stores. The present owner bought the business in march 2016 but has to sell due to family needs and a ft job that doesn't allow much time to do anything else.
The business runs via 6 pt/ft employees making $11.00/hr, with the manager making $13.75/hr for 32 hrs/wk, and a supervisor making $12.00/hr for the rest of the time. The owner only does the bookkeeping. The owner closed the store on mondays last year from october to april which he now realizes was a mistake. The store is open m-f 10-9, sat 11-10, and sunday 11-9.
There is an existing point of sale system (pos) and cameras that ease the management duties. They serve baked goods (bought from bakery), quick bites, sandwiches, salads, coffee, juices, boba, and ice cream. About 80% of the sales are generated from ice cream. It's open 7 days a week for a total of 89 hours/wk.
About 21% of the customers travel more than 20 miles to come to this store, and 31% travel between 5 and 15 miles. The busiest days are friday, saturday, and sunday. The average ticket price is $8.00 and they have a lot of returning customers. The store is very well liked as witnessed by the yelp and google reviews.
If the buyer works 10 hours per day and 5 days per week replacing the $13.75/hr manager, the adjusted net income will be about $44k for the year. Rent is $3,430.29/m.
The seller is willing to train the buyer for 40 hours.
