We are looking for an accredited home health agency in the five counties surrounding Los Angeles. Ideally, the home health agency should have at least 5-10 managed care contracts to include LA Care, Health Net, and Care Centrix. The agency should be able to provide the last three-year tax returns with an annual gross income of $2 million and above and an EBITDA of $200,000 - $500,000 (before recasting). The agency should not have any liens, judgments, or other large liability attached to it.
We are looking for an agency where the owner is involved in its daily operations on a 75-100% basis. The agency should come with a clean Medicare provider number/billing with no active ADRs or other billing issues. The agency should also have ongoing in house operational systems such as intake, staffing, billing, coding, quality assurance, compliance in place.
If the agency is cash flowing this would be perfect for an SBA 7A Loan, though we are not tied to SBA financing. The ideal agency would also have a low operating budget along with steady referral streams and a dedicated professional team.
Our price range would be 2-4 times the EBITDA and or a price range which would suit all parties. We will be coming in with our investor team on this purchase.
