New management can pursue growth in any number of areas. Since the garage regularly operates at capacity, there are several avenue for immediate growth with their existing client base.  To begin, this is a Monday through Friday business that closes early (before 5 pm) when compared with others.  The facility can offer weekend services as well as longer hours or even a second shift. 

Further, as the shop operates at capacity, the business typically has full bays and a small adjacent storage lot. With an additional storage lot, the company can accept more client vehicles or have space to store them post-repair.  If they could perform some more remedial services on the additional lot, the facility could increase their client throughput. 

Additionally, though they are qualified and capable, the business is very selective as to the clients they accept. Once again, although they are qualified to work on gas engines, the business does not accept them as they find the buyers of gas vehicles tend to be shorter-term thinkers that invested in a less expense and less durable vehicle. While gas engines may require more repairs in the long-run, those same owners tend to prefer quicker and cheaper repairs than are optimal to extend the vehicle’s lifespan.

Finally, growth opportunities also theoretically exist by forming partnerships with additional fleet operators and RV dealerships, however since the business operates at capacity, they haven’t felt a need to do so. As it stands, they tend to send more outbound referrals to dealerships more than they take on new clients from them.
