Mr. Mesenbrink has 39 years of business experience in medical device/services, life science, and the environmental industry having started companies that grew to a market capitalization of approximately $750M. For seven years he has been an associate of Plethora Businesses, Inc. conducting Mergers and Acquisition (M&A)/valuations in the small cap industry.
From 2004-2006 he was CEO for the Center For Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery, a national bariatric surgery practice and company and has served as CEO of a multi national sports medicine company, Innovation Sports, Inc. that also grew under his leadership. Prior to that he was Sr. VP at Mobile P.E.T. Imaging, Inc., that became the first mobile Positron Emission Tomography (PET) scanning company to provide mobile and fixed site cancer and cardiology detection services to hospitals throughout the US. The company went public and grew from start-up stage to $17MM in two years. Starting in 2002 to 2008 he served as a member of the board of directors of a public medical device company, Pro-Dex where he provided oversight on the audit, nomination, and compensation committees contributing to build the company from a market value of $2MM to $30MM all during the creation of SARBOX.
He served as EVP of a public medical device company, Medstone International, Inc. from 1989 until 1991 and contributed leadership that grew the company to a market cap of over $100M. He was co founder and EVP of Medical Imaging Centers of America (MICA) that went public and had a market capitalization of $225M. He was also a cofounder of Insight Health Services, a medical imaging services company that had a market cap of more than $500MM. Mr. Mesenbrink was formerly with Johnson & Johnson; Becton-Dickinson and has founded several companies and held many senior management roles in cardiovascular, surgery, and radiology product based companies.
