The count of 1,137 completed August business for sale deals throughout California last month shows improvement of nearly 22% over the 932 transactions recorded August of last year. Sales statistics, reported by the BizBen Index also announced year-to-date business transfers in the state inched up.  

The 48 San Joaquin County small and mid-sized business for sale offerings that resulted in a deal during the three months of 2013 represent a sharp decline from the count of 82 completed transactions in the same quarter of 2012.  

A total of 9 small and mid-sized business for sale offerings were sold in Santa Cruz County last month, nearly 36% fewer than the 14 deals concluded during January 2012, according to the BizBen Index.  

The total of 36 small and mid-sized Contra Costa business for sale offerings sold in Contra Costa County last month, represents a decline of about 16% from the 43 transactions registered in the county during January 2012, according to the BizBen Index.  

The total of 55 small and mid-sized business for sale offerings sold in San Bernardino County last month represents a drop of about 15% from the total of 65 completed transactions during January of last year, it was reported by the BizBen Index.  

The count of 23 small and mid-sized business for sale offerings that were sold in Ventura County last month was up by 35% compared to the 17 transactions completed in the same month last year, it was reported by the BizBen Index.   

The total of 36 small and mid-sized business for sale offerings sold in Sacramento County last month, represents nearly 31% fewer deals than the 52 transactions concluded during January 2012, according to the BizBen Index.  

With 50 small and mid-sized business for sale offerings sold last month, Riverside County posted an increase of about 22% in deal volume compared to the 41 transactions successfully concluded in January last year.  

The total of 27 small and mid-sized business for sale offerings sold in Stanislaus County last month, represents 10% fewer deals than the 30 transactions concluded during January 2012, according to the BizBen Index.  

The count of 25 small and mid-sized business for sale offerings that were sold in San Mateo County last month was nearly 39% higher than the 18 transactions completed in the same month last year, it was reported by the BizBen Index.
